Right down the road, Honey Hill Farm has been connecting people with animals for nearly 30 years

Founded in 1997, Honey Hill Farm began with a clear mission: to provide quality animal interaction to people who would not otherwise have it. What started as a one woman show run by founder Sally Powell has grown into a large-scale mobile operation.

Today, our team cares for a diverse herd of over 450 animals. We serve approximately 500 community events annually and manage seasonal animal attractions at major amusement parks, including The Barnyard at Cedar Point and Funland Farm at Michigan’s Adventure.

The Catalyst For Far Out Farm

Our animals are our pets and partners, and they stay with us their entire lives. But the reality is that a percentage of them are not suited for the road. Whether they are retired, require special attention, or simply aren’t needed for our mobile setups, these animals still require exceptional care and infrastructure.

We created Far Out Farm for them.

We needed a stationary home with upgraded infrastructure to provide our herds with the sanctuary and weather-resilient shelter they deserve. Simultaneously, it gave our team an outlet for a more authentic, grounded way to interact with our community. While Honey Hill Farm is about outreach, Far Out Farm is about inviting you in—allowing people to experience our animals in their own natural environment and fostering a slower, more intentional connection.
