Just Like Old Times

Far Out Sundays

Spend Sundays on the farm! A couple decades ago, almost everyone had a grandparent with a farm. Sadly, that luxury has gone by the wayside, like so many other connections to family, community, and rural spaces.

Whether you’re a local who is always looking for affordable things to do as a family, or you’re visiting the area and looking for something uniquely Kentucky, Far Out Farm offers a boutique experience that the whole family will enjoy.

Pack a picnic, take a stroll on our trails, and let the kids (or yourself) enjoy a hand-led horse or pony ride. To keep the crowds low and the vibe chill, only a small number of entries are allowed each Sunday.

Plan Your Visit

We operate seasonally from Mid-April through Mid-November between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

Advance Booking Required: All tickets must be purchased online prior to arrival.

*To prevent a crowded experience, entries are timed and kept to only 6-8 cars at a time, and only about 24 total for the day.

About Horseback Riding: We have horses capable of carrying average sized adults, but if adults or any other member of your group prefers not to ride, they can give their token to someone else.

Stay and Play: After your ride, you are welcome to stay, spend time with the animals, picnic, and explore the grounds until we close at 5:00 PM.

Food, Drinks & Trinkets

You’re welcome and encouraged to bring a picnic or a bucket of chicken with you. This experience was designed to be all-inclusive and you will have more than enough to do.

But when you pick up your animal snacks, you can also purchase:

  • Extra buckets of animal feed or extra rides (limited to time restraints)
  • Far Out Farm souvenirs and apparel that help support the farm and animals
  • Local snacks (including favorites like Grippo’s chips and Mingua beef jerky)
  • Cold drinks (Bottled water, nitro coffee, and local favorite Ale-8-One)

Weather Policy

Far Out Sundays are 100% outdoor events. For the safety and comfort of our animals and guests, we do not operate if the temperature drops below 50° or rises above 90°, or if there is a high chance of rain, storms, or high winds.

We also may be closed for certain holidays or special events.

Check before you head out! We post a final weather “Go/No-Go” update every Sunday morning on our Facebook page.

$64 Per Passenger Vechicle

Load up the car and spend the day of the farm with your family or friends. This is a steal for families or larger groups. All visitors get to ride a horse or pony, feed the animals their favorite snack, and enjoy the freedom to roam policy on our 100-acre farm. IMPORTANT: Far Out Farm is not yet open to the public and is unable to accept reservations yet. Link will not be active until that time.
