When Can I Visit?

To protect the tranquil, relaxed, and authentic vibe of Far Out Farm, visits are by reservation only. If you're hoping to just drop in one day, we are open to the public on Sundays from 1-5pm, weather permitting.

Far Out Farm is still under construction and not yet open to the public. The information on this page may change as the project progresses.

The Far Out Family Experience

Get far out and grow closer together.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape, a hands-on adventure, or a memorable gathering for your extended family, our private farm experiences offer exclusive access to our 100-acre property.

Because we want your time here to be unforgettable, we don’t offer generic, one-size-fits-all tours. Instead, your dedicated guide will tailor the experience entirely around your group’s interests, physical abilities, and preferences.

Step 1

Choose Your Vibe

Are you a horse-fanatic or an equal opportunity animal enthusiast?

The All Animal Farm Experience

Work with your host to create a custom mix of the following:

The Animal Encounter: Step right into the pastures to feed and interact with the herd, including Camille and Abu the camels, and the rest of our friendly farm animals.

Saddle Time: Enjoy horseback or pony rides tailored to your group size.

Guided Exploration: Trek through our private woodland trails, skip rocks in the creek, explore the ponds, and take photos at our scenic overlook.

Picnic & Play: Relax at our scenic viewing areas with a lunch you bring from home, while the kids enjoy unstructured play.

The Ultimate Kentucky Horse Experience

For guests who want a true Bluegrass experience, dedicate your entire visit exclusively to the horses!

Meet the Herd: Get hands-on with various breeds and sizes, from miniature ponies to our largest horses.

Horsemanship 101: Learn the essentials of horse care, including how to properly groom and tack.

Saddle Up: Learn the basics of riding before taking the horses out for guided rides around the farm and the outdoor arena.

Picnic & Play: Relax at our scenic viewing areas with a lunch you bring from home, while the kids enjoy unstructured play.

Step 2

Choose Your Tribe

How big is your herd?

Goat Snuggles for Two, Please | $245

  • Capacity: 2 guests

  • Duration: 2.5-3 Hours (It’s not a tour, it’s a meander)

Designed specifically for just two people—perfect for a date day, an anniversary, or an outing with your bestie.

In addition to the standard animal encounters and guided exploration, this intimate package includes a short, guided horseback trail ride around the farm. Afterward, you can take advantage of our “freedom to roam” policy to explore the property independently at your own pace.

The Small Group Farm Adventure | $275

  • Capacity: Up to 8 guests

  • Duration: 2.5-3 Hours (It’s not a tour, it’s a mosey)

Highly customized and unhurried. Best for single families or small groups of friends.

Because this experience is strictly limited to 8 people, the entire 3 hours is shaped entirely by what you want to do. Spend extra time brushing the horses, linger at the scenic overlook for photos, or split your time evenly across the farm. One dedicated guide stays with your group every step of the way.

The Extended Family Farm Day | $375

  • Capacity: 9 to 16 guests

  • Duration: 2-3 Hours (It’s not a tour, it’s a wonder about)

Perfect for multi-generational families, two families visiting together, or larger groups of friends.

To ensure everyone gets the most out of their visit without feeling rushed, this tier utilizes extra hands. This allows us to naturally split the group when needed based on interests and abilities—for example, one guide can manage horseback rides in the arena for the older kids while another takes the grandparents and toddlers to feed the camels.

Want to Bring A Crowd?

For larger families, field trips and homeschool co-ops, we can accommodate groups of up to 50 people with custom itineraries, dedicated activity stations, and a full staff.
