Get Far Out

Far Out Farm defies simple explanation (trust us, we’ve tried).

If we were to abandon all commitment to brevity, we’d say it was a vaguely artsy-hippie-earthy themed animal farm/event venue/education center with horses, camels, donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, emus, cows, chickens, ducks, and a pig, that you can pet, feed, groom, and selfie with til you heart’s content.

The Animals

Far Out Farm is owned and operated by Honey Hill Farm, a mobile petting zoo provider and the proud operator of Cedar Point’s “The Barnyard.”

Due to the rapid growth we experienced around 2015 and to some scaling back that occurred during the pandemic, we have a large number of retired or simply “extra” animals (they’re extra, alright).

Our animals stay with us their entire life and they enjoy human connection. Far Out Farm was born from our desire to expand our infrastructure onto our second farm, and to provide better facilities for our aging animals, as well as create a space for people to visitt them in their own home.

Our Mission

What sets Far Out Farm apart is our commitment to community building through agriculture, art and access to animals.

We believe that the world has changed in a way that no longer supports our mental, emotional, or physical health, and that this can only be addressed through a return to meaningful social connections, time spent outdoors, and even the physical labor we were built to perform.

The mission of Far Out Farm is:

To improve our infrastructure and optimize the use of our land to better serve our animals.
To diversify our farming capabilities to allow for growing produce, bailing hay, and training horses and ponies for our existing business.
To create a space for the public where we can educate, entertain, and help build a stronger, healthier community through art, agriculture, and access to rural activities for anyone who seeks it.

We hope to make Far Out Farm a home, not just to our retired animals who lack place and purpose, but to members of our community as well.
